Host a Fundraiser

Why Host a Fundraiser

Every year individuals and groups from all across Ontario host their own fundraisers in support of our Foundation. As a children’s charity that does not receive any government funding, we rely solely on the kindness and generosity of individuals, corporations, special events and Foundations to make tough days a little brighter for children receiving medical care in Canada. Whether it’s a birthday, bake sale or event, thank you for making a difference!

Success Stories of Smilezone Fundraising Events

Oakville Hornets
The Oakville Hornets Girls hockey MidgetAA and PeeweeAA teams spent an entire weekend in December bagging groceries to raise money for Smilezone! Through their incredible dedication, hard work and big hearts the athletes were able to raise an impressive $2,000!
St. Mother Theresa’s Catholic School
Throughout the school year of 2018-2019 St. Mother Theresa’s Catholic School raised over $2,000 through their on-going, unique and fun Civy Day fundraisers! We are so grateful to the staff, parents, volunteers and students who participated in each event in support of our Foundation.
Monster Mash
Frank Fortino turned his annual Halloween Party into a fundraising Monster Mash! Raising $2,300 for Smilezone, Frank and his attendees were able to celebrate this spooky holiday while spreading smiles instead of scares for children receiving medical care!
Rotherglen
After proposing Smilezone Foundation to his grade 8 classmates at Rotherglen, student Ryan Wood undertook a legacy project that would impact children of Oakville grieving the loss of a loved one. After his class banded together and presented on Smilezone in front of the REACH Foundation’s panel of judges, Smilezone Foundation was granted an incredible $3,000!
Chloe Lofters
Smilezone friend Chloe wanted to give back to her community in a unique way. After sharing an inspiring presentation on Smilezone with her classmates, the grade six students unanimously voted to do something special. Chloe and her friends spent ten days selling homemade slime and hot chocolate at her school to raise money for Smilezone Foundation!
YMCA of Oakville
The wonderful kids in the YMCA of Oakville before and after school program worked with staff to create and sell homemade crafts for a cause! Through their hard work, the kids were able to raise over $400 for Smilezone.
100 Teens Who Care
Through 100 Teens Who care, a group of philanthropic youth come together quarterly to choose a local charity to donate their combined donations to. In January 2020, we were welcomed to join the impressive group of teens at Dave and Busters where they presented us with a cheque for $520!
International Union of Engineering Operators
We were surprised by a visit from a few friends from the International Union of Engineering Operators who brought us a cheque for $15,000! IUEO had decided to split the funds from their 2019 Golf Tournament to two local charities and we were honoured to be one chosen as one of the charity recipents.
